Hey there! In this video, we’ll explore one of the platform's core parts: Customers. We’ll also walk you through how to get the most out of the Customer Detail page.
Sidebar - Customer Directory
Alright, let’s get started. From the sidebar, go ahead and click on Customers.
Page Layout
At the top of this page, you’ll see two tabs:
Individuals
Individual – this tab shows you all your one-on-one customers.
Companies - Contractors
Company – this one’s for corporate or business clients only.
Export
Over on the top right, you’ll find two important buttons: Download — this exports your customer list into a CSV file.
Create New
And Create Customer — click this to add a brand-new customer to your system. Remember, you can always add a new customer when you are starting a quote though, too.
Filters
Now let’s talk filters. These help you find exactly who or what you’re looking for — fast. Here’s what you’ve got:
Customer Types
Search Bar – type in a name, model number, or email address to find a specific customer.
Customer Type – filter by Luxury, Budget Friendly, or Average customers.
Source – where did they buy? From the website, or in the store? Filter here.
Stage
Stage – this shows you what type of customer they are: Lead, First-time Buyer, or Repeat Customer.
How You Found Us – if the customer filled out that field when signing up, you can search by it here.
And if you ever want to start fresh, just hit Reset Filter. Easy.
Let’s say you found the customer you’re looking for.
Access more Info
Click on their name to open the Customer Detail page.
Right at the top, you’ll see a few action buttons:
Changelog
Changelog – this shows a full history of changes made to this customer’s info. Super helpful for transparency.
Click the button, and a pop-up will show you the latest updates.
Start a Quote
New Quote – use this to instantly start a new quote using their details.
Edit Customer
Edit Customer – update their contact info, billing address, and more.
Archive
Archive – use this to remove duplicate or inactive records.
When you click it, a confirmation pop-up will appear to prevent accidental archiving.
Heads up: if they have active quotes or orders, you’ll get a warning and won’t be able to archive them until those are closed.
Billing & Delivery
Below all that, you’ll find the customer’s important info laid out in a few helpful sections. Billing and Delivery Information – this is where you’ll find addresses and contact details. Customers can have more than one Delivery Information.
Account Manager
Account Manager – this shows who’s assigned to the customer. It helps streamline communication and build stronger relationships.
Customer Credit
Then there’s Customer Credit – This tracks their balance and transaction history, including any refunds or withdrawals. Refunds from quotes or orders go here as credits and can be used on future purchases. Credits can also be refunded via Check, Cash, or AIO Pay if the customer used AIO Pay for their payment. Just click the arrow to expand the section.
Credit Lines
Next to that, we have the Used Credit Line – This tells you how much available credit the customer has for new orders. Click the pencil icon to edit.
Order History
Now for the history logs — these are gold when you need to dig into the customer’s activity. Order History – shows you every past order.
Expand a record to see model numbers, quantities, install info, delivery dates, and profit margins.
Home Visit History
Home Visit History – this logs all home visits tied to their orders, including surveys, service calls, or installs.
Quote History
And the last one is Quote History. This tracks every quote you’ve created for the customer.
Expand each entry to view model numbers, quantities, install info, protection plans, and estimated profit margins.
And that’s your walkthrough of the Customers feature in Appliance.io! From filters to financials to full order history — everything you need is right at your fingertips. Thanks for watching — and we’ll catch you in the next video!
