The Delivery Company setup in Appliance.io is designed for businesses that only handle deliveries and act as third-party providers. From registration to customizing delivery methods, routes, and zones β€” here’s how to get everything ready to roll.

πŸ“ Registering Your Account

  1. Click Register

  2. Enter your email address

  3. Agree to the Privacy Policy

  4. Click Sign up for free

  5. Check your email for a verification code β†’ copy, paste, and hit Continue

Next, set up your profile:

  • Add First and Last Name

  • Create a Password

  • Hit Continue again

🏒 Company Setup

Fill out your company details:

  • Company Name

  • Location Name

  • Phone Number

  • Address

  • Time Zone (default is Chicago, or tick the box to auto-detect your location)

Important: Select Delivery Provider as your Business Type.
(The Appliance Retailer option is only for businesses that sell products.)

Click Next and wait a few moments while your account is built.

βš™οΈ Delivery Settings

Once your account is ready, update your delivery setup:

  • Go to Settings β†’ Advanced Settings β†’ Delivery & Install Automation

  • Open the Delivery Methods tab

You’ll see a default delivery method created automatically.

Choose a Delivery Type:

  • Delivery β†’ Requires routing and integration with the driver app. A driver will be assigned for the delivery. (Default auto add to the setting)

  • Delivery Without Routing β†’ Does not require routing or the driver app. The delivery process is handled manually.

It's still fully template β€” now let’s customize it.

✏️ Delivery Method Details

Click the pencil icon to edit:

  • Update Method Name, Email, and Abbreviation

  • Set Start Time, Max Drive Time, and Number of Trucks

  • Enable Ignore Delivery Cap for Online Orders (recommended to capture more sales even when your schedule looks full)

⏰ Cut-Off Time & Routes

Turn on Cut-Off Time to set delivery schedules based on when orders are placed:

  • Same Day

  • Next Day

  • Custom Lead Time

Choose a Route Type:

  • Combined Route β†’ Deliveries for different customers, service areas, or delivery types are grouped on one route. Saves time and makes the route as efficient as possible.

  • Separated Route β†’ Each route is kept separate β€” for one customer group, one area, or one delivery type. It gives more focus on each route but may take more time overall.

⚑ Advanced Options

You can also:

  • Limit Maximum Pieces Per Stop

  • Assign Priority Levels if you have multiple delivery methods

  • Select available delivery options (Full-Service, Drop-off, Install)

  • Enable Partner Delivery Options like Custom Install or Haul Away

πŸ“… Delivery Schedule

Set up your schedule with three tabs:

  • Delivery Limit β†’ set availability by day of week

  • Holidays β†’ adjust capacity for special dates

    • Click Add Holiday, pick a date, set capacity, and Save

  • Delivery Zones β†’ define regions with ZIP codes

    • Add Zone Name, ZIP codes, Zone Type, Frequency, then Save

πŸŽ‰ Finishing Up

Click Save, and you’ll see a success notification. Your Delivery Company is now fully set up with customized methods, schedules, and zones.
