Managing which salespeople appear on your Appliance.io website helps customers connect with the right representative and ensures your team is presented professionally. This guide walks you through enabling users as salespeople, adding them to your website team, and prioritizing who appears first for customers.
📍 Accessing Salesperson Settings
To manage website salespeople, you’ll work in two areas: POS User Settings and Website Settings.
First, open the sidebar and click Settings in your POS.
Under Basic Settings, select Users.
This is where you control which users are allowed to act as salespeople.
👤 Enable a User as a Salesperson
Find the user you want to enable.
In the Sales Person column, switch the toggle ON.
Once enabled, that user becomes eligible to act as a salesperson in the POS and on the website. The toggle works for nearly every role, so you don’t need to change their job title just to give them selling access.
🧩 Optional: Assign the Sales Associate Role
If you want a user to always remain a salesperson:
Change their role to Sales Associate.
This automatically locks their Sales Person toggle to ON.
They will permanently stay available as a salesperson.
This is useful for dedicated sales reps who should always appear on the website.
🌐 Add the Salesperson to Your Website Team
Next, connect the user to your website.
Go back to Settings
→ scroll to Website Settings
→ open Website E-Commerce
In the My Website tab, click the Our Team subtab.
Make sure your salesperson appears in the list.
If they don’t:
Scroll to the bottom and click Add Team Member
Type their name in the popup
Click Add Team Member
No additional details are required — just their name.
⭐ Prioritize Salespeople on the Website
Now open the General Settings tab.
Find the E-Commerce Sales Person section.
Add the salesperson’s name to the dropdown list.
Salespeople listed here will appear at the top when customers select a representative on your website.
Below them, the system automatically shows other users who have the Sales Person toggle enabled.
📸 Important Requirement: Profile Picture
Every salesperson must have a profile picture.
If a user doesn’t have a profile image, they will not appear on the website selection list — even if all other settings are correct.
Always confirm that their profile picture is uploaded to their user profile.
🛒 Changing the Salesperson on the Website
Once setup is complete, customers can switch salespeople directly from the website:
Open the Cart (top-right corner)
Find the Sales Specialist section
Click Change Sales Person
They’ll see the available team members you configured.
