When working with an Order in Appliance.io, you may see a warning at the top of the page saying the ZIP code has not been set up for delivery. This prevents you from proceeding to delivery until the ZIP code is properly configured.

This article walks you through how to add a customer’s ZIP code to your Delivery Zones—and optionally, your Pricing Zones—so you can continue the order without issues.

📍 Why This Warning Appears

The warning means the customer’s delivery ZIP code is not included in any of your configured Delivery Zones. Delivery Zones control where your business offers delivery services. If a ZIP code isn’t listed, Appliance.io will block delivery for that order.

📋 Step 1: Copy the Customer’s ZIP Code

Start by opening the quote that shows the warning.

  • Copy the ZIP code from the customer’s Delivery Information

  • If the delivery and billing addresses are the same, you can copy it from Billing Information instead

Once copied, you’re ready to update your settings.

⚙️ Step 2: Access Delivery Zones

  1. Open the sidebar and click Settings

  2. In Basic Settings, select Delivery Schedule

  3. Scroll down to the Delivery Zones section

Delivery Zones define which ZIP codes are eligible for delivery.
(For a deeper explanation, see the Delivery Zones article linked above.)

🚚 Step 3: Add the ZIP Code to a Delivery Zone

  1. Click Edit on an existing Delivery Zone

  2. In the ZIP Codes field, paste the customer’s ZIP code

  3. If adding multiple ZIP codes, separate them with commas

  4. Click Save

The ZIP code is now enabled for delivery.

💲 Optional: Add the ZIP Code to a Pricing Zone

If you charge additional delivery fees for certain areas, you can also add the ZIP code to a Pricing Zone.

  1. Scroll to the Pricing Zones section

  2. Click Edit on a Pricing Zone

  3. Paste the ZIP code into the ZIP Codes field

  4. Click Save

Pricing Zones are optional but useful for applying location-based delivery charges.
More details are available in the Pricing Zones article linked above.

✅ Step 4: Return to the Quote

Go back to the original quote.

  • The ZIP code warning will no longer appear

  • You can now proceed with delivery and continue the order as usual

🎉 You’re All Set!

By adding the customer’s ZIP code to your Delivery Zones (and Pricing Zones if needed), you’ve removed the delivery restriction and kept the order moving forward.

This quick setup ensures smoother order processing and prevents delivery delays in the future.
