Start at the Inventory Page
Select "Transfer Inventory"
At the top right, between Register Model Number and Reconcile Inventory, you’ll see a button labeled Transfer Inventory. Go ahead and click that.
Inside, you’ll see two tabs: Transfer and Transfer Log. For now, we’re hanging out in the Transfer tab.
Transfer Tab
In the Transfer tab, you'll notice two sections for scanning inventory. Before we get to scanning, we need to fill in the transfer details.
That means: Where the model is coming from,
And where it's going to,
Transfer Options
Once that’s done, you’ll see three transfer options pop up: Available, Reserved, and Reserved for Display. Let’s break each one down.
Available
First up — Available. Use this when you're transferring a model that’s in stock and ready to go.
Start by entering the Model Number,
Then select the Model’s Condition. Make sure that the quantity of the model and the Condition are available at the Transfer From location.
"Scan Inventory"
Once everything looks good, click Scan Inventory.
The model will show up in the scanned list section.
And from there, you can even adjust the quantity if needed.
Reserved
Next, we’ve got Reserved. Use this option when another store has a reserved order that's out of stock or when the order destination is closer to a different store.
Start by entering the Order Number.
You can grab this from the Order page if you need to!
Then, pick the Condition.
Double Check
Again, double-check that the destination location, the Order Number, and the Condition are all correct.
Oops Error Box
If something’s off, you’ll get a pop-up warning.
To avoid that, click the "Check Stock" button on the Order page to confirm that everything is in place.
Then, add the Model Number
Once it all checks out, click Scan Inventory,
and boom — it’ll appear in the scanned list.
Reserved for Display
Now let’s talk about Reserved for Display. Use this when you're transferring a model that’s meant to be displayed in-store. But before you can transfer a display model, you have to assign it for display first.
Assign if needed
Here’s how: Go back to the Inventory page.
Find the model you want, and click the little eye icon in the Available row.
A pop-up will appear
click Assign.
Another window will open — on the right-hand side under For Display At, select the store location where the model will be shown.
Hit Save, and now that model will appear under the Reserved section.
Alright, now back to the Transfer Inventory screen. Enter the Model Number,
and the Display Location (make sure it matches the Transfer Details!).
Lastly, add the Condition — it has to match the condition you originally assigned.
Click Scan Inventory, and you’re good to go!
"Transfer Inventory"
Now the model shows up with the others on the scanned list.
You can select individual models using the checkboxes,
Checkboxes
or just use the top checkbox to select everything at once.
Once everything's lined up, hit Transfer Inventory.
Confirmation
You’ll get a quick confirmation pop-up
click Yes, Transfer.
And just like that, success! You’ll see a confirmation that your transfer went through.
Confirm Transfer
Want to double-check a transfer? Head over to the Transfer Log tab.
Set the date range for the transfer you want to see. You can also filter by Salesperson, if needed.
Transfer Log
You’ll see a log of all transfers for that day.
Click the arrow on the left to expand and see all the details — Model, Order Number, Quantity, Condition, and the Sales Person.
Confirm from Inventory
You can also check from the Inventory page. Just select the location the model was transferred to, and enter the Model Number.
Scroll to the right until you see the Stock Movement icon before the trash can.
Click it to see transfer references and stock movement history.
And don’t forget — you can do the same from the location the model came from as well.
And that’s a wrap! Now you know how to transfer inventory. Thanks for watching, and as always, if you need more help, we’re just a click away. Catch you in the next tutorial!
