Hey there! In this article, we’re going to show you how to manually complete a delivery in the platform.
So, why would you need to do this manually? Maybe the driver forgot to hit “Delivered” in the Driver app. Or maybe you’re working with a third-party delivery team that isn’t using our routing system. No worries — here’s how to mark the order delivered yourself.
Let’s get started. First, head to the customer’s Order page. Look for the section called “In Warehouse & Reserved” — that’s where you’ll see the current delivery status.
Click on the Status dropdown,
And from the list, choose Delivered.
You’ll see a success notification pop up, and the delivery steps on the order will turn green — just like they would if the driver had completed the route.
Now, if the status is already set to Scheduled or assigned to a truck,
You won’t be able to jump straight to Delivered.
Here’s what to do instead: First, change the status back to Open.
Then, select a Delivery Method.
Once that’s done, you’ll be able to update the status to Delivered.
One more thing — You can only mark an order as Delivered if the delivery date is today
or in the past.
If it’s scheduled for the future, the platform won’t let you complete it early.
Now let’s talk about the second case — when the item has been delivered, but it still hasn’t been marked as Delivered in the system because it didn’t go through our driver app. You’ve got two options here:
Contact your driver and ask them to manually mark it as Delivered using the app.
Or just wait for one day. Once the delivery date has passed, you’ll be able to manually update the status yourself from the Order page. Either way works — just depends on what’s easier for you.
Keep this in mind: If you manually mark an order as Delivered or use a third-party delivery company, that delivery won’t show up in the Driver Report. That report only tracks deliveries completed through our official routing app.
And that’s it! Now you know how to manually mark a delivery as complete in Appliance.io. Thanks for reading — and we’ll see you in the next one!
