The Website E-Commerce Settings page in Appliance.io lets you configure every aspect of your online store — from how it looks to how it operates behind the scenes. You can manage categories, brands, your e-commerce team, website policies, and delivery settings — all from one centralized dashboard. This ensures your site stays accurate, up-to-date, and perfectly aligned with your business operations.
📍 Accessing the Website E-Commerce Settings
To access this page, go to the sidebar and scroll all the way down to Settings.
Then, at the bottom of the list, click Website E-Commerce.
You’ll find two main tabs here: My Website and General Settings.
Let’s go through them one by one.
🖥️ My Website Tab
Under the My Website tab, you’ll find five subtabs: Content, Categories, Brands, Our Team, and Policies. Each section controls a different part of your e-commerce website’s presentation and structure.
Content
The Content subtab allows you to edit and update your website — just like when you first built it. You can make updates to product descriptions or page text, and refresh visuals whenever needed.
If you need to temporarily take your website offline, simply click Unpublish to hide it from public view.
Categories
The Categories section lets you decide which appliance categories appear on your website.
Click Manage beside a category to view and adjust its subcategories. Check or uncheck the ones you want to display, then hit Save when finished.
If you’d like to hide an entire category, switch its toggle to No.
Brands
In the Brands subtab, you can choose which appliance brands to feature on your website.
Use the toggle under the Active column to show or hide a brand. You can also click Manage Categories to assign specific product categories to each brand, keeping your product listings well-organized.
Our Team
The Our Team section helps you manage your online store’s team members — the people behind your digital storefront.
You can add new members, edit existing details, and adjust how profiles appear on your website’s “Meet the Team” or store page. It’s an easy way to build trust by showcasing the people who represent your business.
Policies
The Policies subtab is where you create and manage your essential legal and customer service policies.
You can update your Privacy Policy, Terms of Service, Cookie Policy, and Returns & Refunds Policy to keep your website compliant and transparent. Keeping these up to date helps protect your business and builds customer confidence.
⚙️ General Settings Tab
The General Settings tab lets you configure the operational side of your e-commerce site.
Start by assigning your E-Commerce Sales Person — this links website orders directly to a chosen sales representative for proper tracking and commission handling.
Then, configure automation toggles to streamline workflows:
Auto Request: When enabled, out-of-stock products are automatically requested from inventory when an order is placed.
Auto Reserve: When enabled, available products are instantly reserved for the customer as soon as their order is created.
These settings help maintain smooth inventory and order operations with minimal manual intervention.
📦 ZIP Codes & Delivery Zones
At the bottom of the page, you’ll find the Manage Frequently Inputted ZIP Codes section.
Here, you can view a list of ZIP codes customers have entered during checkout — along with how often they’ve been used and when they were last entered.
Note: If a ZIP code isn’t already part of your delivery coverage, you can easily add it by clicking + Pricing Zones or + Delivery Zones to expand your service areas and ensure wider reach.
🎉 You’re All Set!
