Safer Payments with 3D Secure (3DS)

Written by Audry
Updated this week

What’s new?

We’ve added an extra security step called 3D Secure (3DS) to help keep your payments safe.

When you make a card payment, you might now be asked to complete a quick verification (like entering an OTP or approving through your banking app).

How does it work?

  1. Complete your checkout as usual

  2. If required, you’ll see a verification step from your bank

  3. Once verified:

    • ✅ Payment goes through

    • ❌ If verification fails, you may need to retry or use another method

Why did we add this?

This update helps:

  • Protect you from unauthorized transactions

  • Reduce the risk of fraud

  • Make online payments more secure overall

Where does this apply?

This security step may appear when paying via:

  • Website checkout

  • Customer Portal

  • Phone payments (via POS)

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Will all payments require verification?
Not always. The verification step only appears when required by your bank or card provider.

  • What if I don’t receive the OTP or verification request?
This usually comes from your bank, so we recommend:

    • Checking your phone signal or banking app

    • Contacting your bank if the issue continues

  • Can this verification step be skipped?
No, this security feature is currently applied to all customers and cannot be turned off.
