Managing inventory doesn’t always go according to plan — and that’s okay. Appliance.io makes it easy to reserve available inventory or request out-of-stock items directly from an order, so you can keep things moving without disruption.
This guide walks you through both scenarios step by step.
📍 Accessing Inventory Options from an Order
To begin, open the order you’re working on.
Navigate to the Order page.
Click Check Stock for the item you want to manage.
From here, Appliance.io will show you whether the item is currently available or out of stock — and give you the right action for each situation.
📦 When an Item Is Out of Stock: Request Inventory
If the item isn’t available, don’t worry — you can request it instantly.
Click the Request button.
This sends a notification to the Warehouse team, letting them know you need the item.
The request is automatically added to the Purchase Orders page.
🔄 Order Status Update
While the request is being processed, the order tracker will move to:
Ordered – Estimated Time of Arrival / Purchase Order
Click this status to view important details, including:
Purchase Order Number
Estimated Availability
Warehouse Arrival Date
Quantity Requested
Your Place in the Queue
This gives you full visibility into when the item will be ready.
Once the item arrives at the warehouse, you can proceed with delivery as usual.
🔒 When an Item Is In Stock: Reserve Inventory
If the item is already available, reserving it is quick and easy.
Click Reserve.
The item is now locked specifically for this order — preventing anyone else from taking it.
Once reserved, the order is officially ready for delivery.
