The Promo Settings in Appliance.io make it easy to configure and manage Instant Rebates and Retailer Coupons — two powerful tools to attract customers and increase conversions. Whether you’re offering automatic discounts at checkout or custom coupon codes, these features help you drive sales and reward your shoppers efficiently.
📍 Accessing Promo Settings
To begin, open the sidebar and click Settings.
Under the Basic Settings section, select Promos.
You’ll see two tabs:
Instant Rebates
Retailer Coupons
💸 Instant Rebates
Instant Rebates are manufacturer-funded discounts that apply automatically at checkout. Sales tax is calculated based on the original price before the discount — making them transparent and easy for both you and your customers.
Available Views
Active – Shows all current, live rebates.
Archived – Displays past rebates you’ve closed or completed.
Need to find a rebate quickly? Use the Search bar to look it up by name.
➕ Adding a New Rebate
Click + Add Instant Rebate to open the setup pop-up. Fill in the following details:
Rebate Name – Enter a descriptive name.
Type – Choose between Percentage (discount by %) or Dollar-based (fixed amount).
Discount Amount – Enter the value.
Minimum Order Value – Select Yes if you want a minimum purchase requirement, and type the amount.
Applied To – Filter by Brands, Categories, or Models.
Available In – Choose In-Store, E-Commerce, or Both.
Start Date – Set when the rebate begins.
End Date (Optional) – Add if it expires on a specific date.
Manufacturer Redemption Date – Set when you must submit for reimbursement.
Delivery By Date – Items must be delivered by this date to qualify.
When everything’s ready, click Save — your rebate is now live!
Need to make changes? Click the ✏️ Edit icon.
Want to retire a rebate? Use the 🗑️ Archive button.
🎟️ Retailer Coupons
Retailer Coupons are retailer-funded discounts applied when customers enter a promo code at checkout. Unlike manufacturer rebates, the sales tax here is calculated after the discount.
The layout mirrors the Instant Rebates section — with Active and Archived tabs and a Search bar for quick access.
➕ Adding a New Coupon
Click + Add Coupon, then fill out the details:
Coupon Name
Type (Percentage or Dollar-based)
Discount Amount
Minimum Order Value
Applied To (Brands, Categories, or Models)
Available In (In-Store, Online, or Both)
Start and End Dates
Click Save, and your coupon is ready for customers to use!
🧾 Applying Promos During Checkout
When creating a Quote and proceeding to Payment:
For Rebates:
Go to the Rebates section.
Eligible rebates appear automatically.
Check the box and click Apply Rebates.
The discount is instantly reflected in the order.
For Coupons:
Enter the promo code in the Promo Bar at checkout.
Click Apply — the discount activates immediately.
🌐 Website View – Rebates and Coupons
Rebates:
Customers will see a “Rebate Available” label on eligible products.
Clicking it reveals all rebate details clearly.
Coupons:
In the shopping cart, customers can enter their promo code and click Apply to see instant savings.
