Before we dive into setup, let’s talk about what promos you can offer.
Instant Rebates
Instant Rebates – These are discounts reimbursed by the manufacturer. They’re automatically applied at checkout, and sales tax is based on the original price.
Retailer Coupons
Retailer Coupons – These are promo codes you provide, usually retailer-funded. The discount is applied when the customer enters the code, and sales tax is calculated after the discount. Both help drive sales — and setting them up is super simple.
Under the Basic Settings section, click on Promos.
Page Display
You’ll see two tabs: One for Instant Rebates and one for Retailer Coupons. We’ll start with Instant Rebates.
Active
On the Instant Rebates page, you’ve got two main views: Active — all current rebates
Archived
And archived — past rebates you’ve wrapped up.
