Why?

So, why use custom items? This is perfect if you want to permanently add things like parts, accessories, or any non-appliance items to quotes and orders. These could be range cords, trim kits, hoses, or honestly... anything at all. If it’s something you sell regularly — and you want it to be able to easily add it to your orders — this feature is for you.

Create Custom Brand

First things first, let’s add your custom brand. On the sidebar, click on Settings.

d

Under Basic Settings, choose Product Catalog.

Click 'Product Catalog'

Then go to the Brands tab, and hit + Add Custom Brand.

Click 'add
                Add Custom Brand'

You’ll see a pop-up — just type in the Brand Name,

Click 'Brand Name'

click Save,

Click 'Brand Name'

And your custom brand is now in the list!

Go here

Set Up Custom Category

Next, let’s set up your custom category. Still in the Product Catalog, switch to the Categories tab.

d

Click + Add Custom Categories.

Click 'add
                Add Custom Categories'

When the pop-up shows up, fill in your Category Name.

d

Then add a Subcategory.

Click 'Subcategory'

You can create a new one right here too!

Click 'Add New Subcategory'

Once you’re happy with it, click Save.

Click 'Save'

Scroll down, and you’ll see your shiny new custom category right there.

Click 'Screwdriver 6pcs'

Add to a Quote

Now let’s add the actual item so you can use it in quotes. Head over to the Inventory page,

d

Register Model Number

and click Register Model Number.

Click 'Register Model Number'

A pop-up will appear — here’s what to do:

d

Type in the Model Number.

d

The Model Details will auto-fill

Click 'Model Details'

Add the Model Name

Click 'ScrewdriverSet12pcs'

Optionally, enter the UPC Code

Click 'UPC Code'

Then choose the Brand — make sure it’s the custom brand you just added.

d

Pick the Appliance Type and Subcategories you created earlier

d

Done? Hit Save, and your custom item is now registered!

Click 'Save'

Add to a Quote

Alright, time to put it to work. Let’s add the custom item to a quote. Open a quote and click + Line Item

Click 'Line Item'

Start typing the Model Name you just added

Click 'Search by Model # or Package Name'

It’ll pop up — go ahead and click it

d

Since it’s a custom item, you’ll need to manually enter the price.

Custom Fulfillment

One last thing before checkout — we need to add a fulfillment type. Click + Add Fulfillment Type

Click 'add
        Add Fulfillment Type'

Since this is a custom item, choose Custom Install.

Click 'Custom Install'

Just give the install a name — and a price if you wish.

Click 'install Name'

Click Save

Click 'Save'

That’s it! Now you can proceed to payment,

Click 'Protection Plan
I decline a protection plan for this model.

                                            add...'

and the custom item will be part of your order.

Click 'category
                        Screwdriver Set 12pcs'

There ya go! Ready to rock and time to chill out, yeah? Thanks for watching — and we’ll see you in the next one!
