Updated over a week ago

The User Settings section in Appliance.io is your central hub for managing team members within the system. From viewing and editing user accounts to assigning roles and monitoring activity, it provides everything you need to keep your operations organized, secure, and running smoothly.

📍 Accessing User Settings

To begin, open the sidebar and click Settings at the bottom.
Under the Basic Settings section, select Users.

You’ll see two main tabs:

  • Active – Displays all currently active users.

  • Archive – Contains users who’ve been archived but can be restored anytime.

Below the tabs, you’ll find Filters to help you quickly locate users. You can search by Name, Role, or Location.
To clear all filters and view everyone again, click Reset Filter.

👥 Inviting and Adding Users

In the top-right corner of the page, you’ll see three key buttons for managing users:

  1. Invite Users – Click this to send invitations to new team members.

    • Enter their Email Address and assign a Role.

    • Click Invite, and they’ll be added instantly as a user.

  2. History Changelog – View a complete log of recent changes and user activity, keeping your team’s actions transparent and traceable.

  3. Add New User – This option lets you manually create a new account from scratch.

    • A pop-up window will appear where you can fill in the following details:

      • User Profile: Upload a photo, add their first and last name, email, and phone number.

      • User Settings: Define their job title, job description, default location, and assigned role.

      • Set Password: Create a strong, secure password that’s also easy to remember.

    • Once everything looks good, click Save to finalize and add the user to your system.

📋 Understanding the Users Table

The Users Table is where all user information is displayed in a clean, structured format. Each column gives you quick insights into key details:

  • Users

  • Location

  • User ID

  • Last Activity

  • Role

  • Sales Person

  • Driver

  • Action

The Action column is especially handy — you can edit a user’s information, change their password, or archive them with a single click.
