The Request Stock feature in Appliance.io lets you plan ahead by tagging inventory for an order that’s already been purchased — without reserving it too early. This is perfect when an item isn’t needed immediately and will be delivered on a specific future date.

Instead of worrying about availability later, you can request the item for a specific day, and the system will automatically reserve it when the time comes.

📍 Accessing the Request Stock Feature

To get started, open the order you’ve already purchased.

  1. Navigate to the Orders page

  2. Open the order you’re working on

  3. Click Check Stock

A pop-up window will appear showing available stock options.

📦 Requesting Stock for a Future Date

Inside the Check Stock pop-up:

  1. Locate the Request section

  2. Select the date you want the item reserved for

    • For example, choose the 29th if the delivery is scheduled later

  3. Click Request

You’ll see a success notification confirming the request date has been updated.

🔍 Verifying the Requested Item

To confirm everything is set correctly:

  1. Head over to the Inventory page

  2. Search for the item you requested

You’ll see the item listed with a Requested status.
This means the item has been tagged for your order — but it is not reserved yet.

⏳ What Happens on Your Request Date?

On the selected date (for example, the 29th), Appliance.io automatically takes care of the rest:

Click '1'
  • The item moves from Requested to Reserved

  • No manual action is needed

  • The Order page updates automatically to show the item as Reserved

Once reserved, the order is ready for scheduling and delivery.

✅ Why Use Request Stock?

Requesting stock in advance helps you:

  • Plan deliveries without holding inventory too early

  • Avoid last-minute availability issues

  • Keep orders organized and on schedule

  • Reduce manual follow-ups and inventory stress

🎉 You’re All Set!

Using the Request Stock feature ensures your inventory is ready exactly when you need it — keeping operations smooth and customers happy.
