Requesting stock in advance in Appliance.io allows you to secure inventory for an order you’ve already purchased but don’t need delivered right away. Whether you’re scheduling deliveries or planning customer drop-offs, this feature ensures the item is tagged for you on your chosen date — keeping fulfillment smooth and stress-free.

📍 Accessing Stock Request

To begin, open your Orders page and select the order you want to manage.
Next, click Check Stock to open the inventory request pop-up.

Inside the pop-up, navigate to the Requested section. This is where you'll choose the date you want your item to be pre-allocated.

🗓 Selecting Your Request Date

If you need the item on a later date — for example, the 29th — simply:

  1. Click the date selector under the Requested section.

  2. Choose your preferred date.

  3. Click Request.

You’ll immediately see a success notification confirming that your request date has been updated.

📦 Verifying Requested Stock

To ensure everything is set, head over to the Inventory page and search for the item linked to your order.

You’ll notice the item is now labeled as Requested — meaning the system has tagged it for you, but has not yet moved it to full reservation.

This allows your team to plan inventory without prematurely locking stock.

⏳ What Happens on Your Request Date?

On the date you selected (e.g., the 29th):

Click '1'
  • The system automatically moves the item from Requested to Reserved

  • No extra clicks or actions are required

  • Your order on the Orders page will now show the item as Reserved

Once reserved, the item is ready for scheduling and delivery.

🎉 You’re All Set!

Requesting stock in advance ensures availability without needing to reserve items too early. It keeps fulfillment organized, predictable, and efficient — especially when planning future deliveries.
