DMI Appliance Group Integration

Seamlessly connect your local inventory with external warehouse operations

Updated this week

DMI is an external warehouse management integration that works hand in hand with your local inventory system. It gives you a real-time view of product availability across both your store and external warehouses, helping you manage stock, fulfill orders, and keep customers happy.

πŸ“ Accessing DMI

From the sidebar, click Integration (just above the Settings icon).
In Data Integrations, you’ll see DMI.
Switch the toggle to YES to enable the integration.

πŸ“Š How the Integration Works

DMI combines two inventory sources to give you the full picture:

  • Local Inventory
Tracks stock in your own store, including reserved or pending items.

  • External Warehouse Inventory
Pulls in stock levels from connected warehouses, plus on-order quantities from suppliers.

Together, this creates a hybrid inventory view, ensuring you always see the most accurate availability across all sources.

πŸ“¦ What You Get with DMI

  • Smarter Order Fulfillment

    • Local stock is checked first

    • External warehouse stock is used as a fallback

    • Orders can even be split across locations when needed

  • Better Customer Experience

    • Real-time stock availability

    • Alternative sourcing when your local stock is low

    • More reliable delivery planning

  • Stronger Inventory Management

    • Centralized visibility across all stock locations

    • Easier reordering based on combined levels

    • Faster detection of stock discrepancies

βš™οΈ Automatic Syncing

DMI refreshes warehouse stock data every 30 minutes.
This strikes the right balance between accuracy and efficiency:

  • Keeps stock data fresh without overloading the system

  • Handles thousands of SKUs smoothly

  • Works seamlessly in the background so you don’t have to

πŸ›  If Something Goes Wrong

Even if DMI is temporarily unavailable, your system keeps running:

  • Local inventory continues updating in real time

  • You can still process sales and manage stock

  • External data will catch up once syncing resumes

For urgent needs, you can always:

  • Contact the warehouse directly

  • Use manual stock counts

  • Flag discrepancies for later reconciliation

🎯 Why It Matters

With DMI integration, you get:

  • A unified view of stock across local and external sources

  • Smarter fulfillment with fewer out-of-stock surprises

  • Accurate customer-facing availability

  • Reliable data syncing without slowing down your operations

πŸŽ‰ The Bottom Line

DMI integration gives you the best of both worlds β€” real-time local data plus regularly updated external warehouse stock. With hybrid fulfillment, seamless syncing, and graceful fallback when issues arise, it keeps your inventory accurate and your customers satisfied.
