Hey, there! In this quick walkthrough, we’re going to show you how to change a model in an Order.

Let’s say the order’s already created, and you realize the model needs to be changed. Maybe it was the wrong SKU, or the customer changed their mind — whatever the reason, no worries! Here's how to fix it.

Click 'Order #1-152298'

Unreserve the Model

After you open the order you want to update, click on the warehouse icon in the middle.

Click 'RFR'

Then, click on the Order Status,

And change it to Open — this will let you unreserve the current model.

Click 'Open'

Next, hit Check Stock,

Click here

And click on Unreserve.

You’ll be asked where you want the model to return — just select the Inventory Location, or if there’s no change, click Yes, Unreserve to proceed.

Change the Model to the Correct One

Now, click the pencil icon next to Check Stock.

Click here

You’ll now be able to edit the product. Just type in the SKU of the new model you want to use. Quick tip: double-check that SKU to make sure it's the right one this time!

Keep in mind that the new model has to be in the same category as the original. So, you can’t swap a fridge for a washer — it needs to stay within the same appliance family.

Once you’ve made the change, click Save!

Click 'Save'

And that’s it! The order is now updated with the new model and ready for delivery.
