Quotes in Appliance.io help you outline pricing, products, and terms before a customer commits to a purchase. They set clear expectations by showing costs, quantities, add-ons, and payment details — making it easy for customers to review and approve before moving forward.

This guide walks you through how to create a quote, add products, apply pricing and payments, and convert it into an order.

📍 Accessing Quotes

There are three ways to create a quote in Appliance.io:

Option 1: Start a Quote (Fastest Way)

Click Start a Quote located at the top-left corner of every page.

Option 2: From Customer Profile

  1. Open the sidebar and click Customer Hub

  2. Select the customer you want

  3. Inside the Customer Profile, click New Quote

Option 3: From an Order

  1. Open an existing order

  2. Click Select Action

  3. Choose Create New Quote

⚠️ This option instantly creates a quote using the same customer from the order.

All three methods will take you to the Quote Confirmation page.

🧾 Quote Confirmation

On the Quote Confirmation page:

  1. Select the Location where the order is made

  2. Choose the Salesperson

  3. Search for and select the Customer

If you don’t see the customer:

  • Click Add New Customer (see our separate guide for details)

If the address is different:

  • Click Add New Address to save it as a secondary address

Once completed, click Next.

🧩 Creating a Quote

Your quote is now created.

This page contains many tools and sections. For deeper explanations, you can explore our dedicated article. To continue setting up the quote, start by adding products.

Click Line Item to begin.

🛒 Adding Products (Line Items)

You can add products by:

  • Typing a Model Number, or

  • Searching for a Package Name

You can also add Custom Products if they exist in your catalog (refer to the Custom Product article for details).

If the model number is correct, product suggestions will appear.
If nothing shows up, double-check for typos or confirm the product is registered.

📦 Checking Stock & Product Details

To verify availability, click Check Stock.

In the pop-up:

  • Open the Inventory Location dropdown

  • View available and reserved quantities across all locations

Next, configure the product:

  • Select the Condition

  • Choose the Quantity

  • Edit the Price, if needed

📊 Price Analytics

If you’re unsure about pricing, click Price Analytics to view:

  • Active price rules

  • Average cost

  • Pricing history

You can update pricing rules anytime from Product Pricing Settings.

All pricing adjustments automatically roll into the Total Price.

➕ Add-ons & Invoice Breakdown

Next, configure Add-ons.

To proceed with payment, a Fulfillment Type is required.
Optional add-ons like Haul Away and Protection Plans are highly recommended (see our add-on guide for full details).

Scroll down to the Invoice section, where you’ll find:

  • Product Total

  • Delivery Zone charges (editable)

  • Installation charges

  • Protection Plan charges

Tax & Discounts

  • If the customer is tax-exempt, tax will show as $0 (enabled in Customer Profile)

  • Enter a Coupon if available

    • Note: Coupons are different from rebates — see our comparison article for details

At the bottom, you’ll see the Total and Balance Due.

💳 Adding Payment

Click Add Payment / Rebate to proceed.

In the payment pop-up, choose from multiple payment methods configured in Payment Settings.

Payment options include:

  • Custom amount

  • 50% down payment

  • Paid in full

Once selected, click Apply Deposit / Payment.

🚚 Converting a Quote to an Order

After applying payment, the Quote is automatically converted into an Order and is ready for fulfillment and delivery.

🎉 You’re All Set!

You’ve successfully created a quote in Appliance.io — from pricing to payment to order conversion.
